10-2-26   THOUGHTS

We need to consider the implications of verse 2!   "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."  All blessings come from God!  He has made us dwell in pleasant places.  His promises are sure and wonderful.  He counsels us,... He gives us His Spirit.   2Pet 1:3   “seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

Ps 16:1-7  NIV    Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.  2  I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."  3  As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. 4  The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.  5  LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. 6  The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.  7  I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

Our Prayer:
O Lord, counsel us as we sing praises to Your great  name.  Apart from You,  Father God, we have no good thing.  Give us the wisdom and truth that comes from Yourself.  May our lives be light and salt, our hearts pure, and our minds centered on Christ Jesus.  Remove all vanity from us, as we seek to please You.   We pray in Jesus,   Amen.
